I maintain an active presence all over the Internet; here are some services I use and communities I participate in that may be of interest to you.
Facebook is the obvious place to start on any list of a twentysomething’s social networking tools. If you want to be my friend, you can start by being my “friend.”
Twitter – of course I’ve got an account. I’m one of those awesome celebrities you hear about that tweet. Like Shaq. Follow me to read every half-formed thought that enters my head.
Last.fm is a cool service that tracks the music I listen to and builds a comprehensive inventory of my tastes, both awesome and embarrassing.
Steam is basically iTunes for games – an online store where digital wares are delivered immediately – with a few added bonuses: a community, where you can view friends’ progress in games and easily join them, and the ability to have games, as well as saves and options, follow you between computers.
I have a few videos on YouTube, mostly boring, but the real gem of my account is my Favorites list, which I firmly believe contains some of the Internet’s most incredible entertainment options.
Lastly, there’s AppBrain, a neat service that lets you view, compare and install Android apps on the Web and share your selections with others. I’m a big fan, and I suggest you give it a shot if you use Android.
