About Hunter.

I’m Wm. Hunter Tammaro, and I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a minor in Psychology. While at the University, I worked with the High Energy Physics group, contributing to the design of the NOvA Far Detector as the independent study portion of my curriculum. I also contributed to the University’s student-run newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, serving for a time as Associate Editor of the Life section before being elected Operations Manager. My writing was honored by the Virginia Press Association in their 2008 News Contest and I personally think it was pretty okay.

Today, I work as a consultant for decision/analysis partners, developing an expertise in logistics, simulation, the postal industry and ontology development. I live in Fairfax, Virginia, where my hobbies include listening to music, writing, cooking and hating traffic. The image above is from a recent project where I tried screen printing by hand, which I recommend to everyone.

About this website

This website runs on WordPress, using a theme I made all by myself in the excellent Notepad++ text editor. During its development, I made heavy use of the HTML, PHP and CSS references published by W3Schools. The logo was made possible by Line25′s Letterpress tutorial, and the Twitter retrieval script on the front page is John Kolbert’s, line-for-line.

If this website appears strange and broken, it may be that you are using an out-of-date browser. I would suggest using Google Chrome, a sublimely fast, lightweight and customizable little program, available for PC, Mac and Linux. If your browser is fully up-to-date and the website still looks terrible to you, there may be a bug, or the cause may be that you, unlike I, actually have an eye for design. If either of these is the case, please do let me know what I have done wrong and accept my apologies.

Please enjoy this website that I made for you.
